This is a legacy project. Our goal is to tell the accurate backstory of a young John Unitas, who, through sheer determination and God given talent, proved the experts wrong and became one of the greatest football players in the history of the game.

This is the man who set the standard for all quarterbacks that followed him. He was a leader on and off the field and led the fight to protect players from the the disabilities that plagued him off the field.

• We have the story, with no one better to tell than John's own son.
